James A Lloyd is a writer of contemporary and historical fantasy. After completing three consecutive careers as a soldier, a firefighter and a civil servant he now lives a quieter life on the beautiful island of Mersea on the east coast of England. He has travelled extensively, often visiting sites of the ancient civilisations he loves to study. Whilst he spends much of his time writing, he enjoys other creative hobbies and collects vintage toys. Previous careers often impacted on family life, so he now spends as much time with them as possible.
